By MICHAEL HINMANIESB is reporting that the people who want to make DC characters come to life as a team a la "The X-Men" are thinking about taking the route made popular with films such as "Polar Express" and the upcoming "Beowulf" as a way to still get the movie they're looking for, but without some of the confusion that might happen from Brandon Routh and Christian Bale not portraying the characters of Superman and Batman in the film.
Three different companies are up to do the job, according to the site, including Imageworks, R&H and WETA.
While it might seem that the film is heading back to the animated route rather than live action, there is considerable difference from a traditional animated or CGI film, and it also gives writers and producers many more options in what kind of story they can tell, and how they can shoot it.
It does seem that the pieces are falling into place to have a "Justice League" film move forward in production as early as next winter in preparation for a 2010 release.
Of course, none of this has been confirmed by any of the studios involved, so it should be treated as any rumor would.
