"Dark Knight" star Christian Bale denies he assaulted his mother and sister during an altercation ahead of the London premiere of his film. Police in England took the actor in custody only briefly, before releasing him under the condition he would return to the country in September. [WENN]

It looks like "Heroes'" favorite cheerleader may get an attitude adjustment. Hayden Panettiere says fans will get to see two sides of her character Claire Bennet in the third season of the NBC series, including possibly an evil side. One photo from the set shows Panettiere with black hair and holding a gun -- a far cry from the sweet blonde girl fans have grown to know and love. [ShowBiz Spy]

David Duchovny, who's getting ready to return to the big screen with his upcoming "X-Files: I Want To Believe" flick, said that he would like to crawl into one of the tin cans and play a Dalek in a future "Doctor Who" episode. Duchovny told reporters that he liked the classic "Doctor Who" series, and while he wouldn't be interested in ever taking over the iconic starring role, he would be interested in playing a villain. John Barrowman, star of the BBC Two series "Torchwood," said he would like to expand his family that already includes new husband Scott Gill. The actor said the two are considering adoption, but could even explore the possibility of bringing in a surrogate mother. [The Sun]
